Vietnam Proceeds with Plans for Health Education Reform
Vietnam’s Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien has established an Advisory Committee for Health Education Reform and named 19 people to it, representing different disciplines and universities that have shown a commitment to health education reform. This committee will direct planning, implementation and monitoring of activities related to health education reform in Vietnam.
Vietnam is one of five countries in the Asia Network, which has developed a common survey instrument for conducting a situation analysis. Vietnam’s representatives to the Network will work with the Vietnam Ministry of Health (MOH) to adapt the study into the MOH research program, reports Network member Bui Thi Thu Ha, MD, PhD, who is Vice Dean of the Hanoi School of Public Health and Head of their Department of Reproductive Health.
